Two Girls Face Alcohol Charges

The following information was provided by the Portsmouth Police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Sunday, Nov. 10 to Monday, Nov. 11.

Sunday:

  • At 11:09 a.m., police reported a personal injury accident on Market Street that required a wrecker.
  • At 11:15 a.m., police reported the thefts of tires from three vehicles on the Route 1 Bypass that were worth a total of $4,800. Each tire was valued at $400.
  • At 10:03 p.m., police arrested a Greenland woman who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on Daniel Street. Sarah Dawn Daniels, 22, of 224 Portsmouth Ave. was arrested on a warrant for willful concealment.
Monday:
  • At 7:50 a.m., police arrested a Dover woman who was being held at the Rockingham County Jail in Brentwood and who was also wanted as a fugitive from justice in Portsmouth. Amy Vieira, 30, of 149 Portland Ave., Apt. 112 in Dover was wanted for possession of controlled narcotic drugs.
  • At 10:20 a.m., police arrested a Massachusetts woman who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after she turned herself in at the police station. Megan Aldrich, 30, of 25 Fox Run Road in North Eastman, Mass., was wanted on a bench warrant out of Portsmouth District Court by State Police.
  • At 11:39 a.m., police arrested a Kittery, Maine man who was caught shoplifting on Lafayette Road by store employees who detained him until police arrived. Nathan Copeland, 19, of 175 Haley Road was charged with theft (removing merchandise from premises) and making a false report to law enforcement.
  • At 4:41 p.m., police reported disorderly conduct on State Street after the caller said a man and a woman were screaming at each other and the rear window of a Lincoln Continental was smashed out.
  • At 5:19 p.m., police reported an unattended death on Larry Lane.
  • At 7:44 p.m., police arrested a Farmington man who wanted as a fugitive from justice on Highliner Avenue after was detained by Farmington Police at the Rochester Toll Plaza. Jesse Hill, 20, of 536 Main St., Apt. 3 was wanted for a bench warrant.
  • At 10:40 p.m., police cited a Newington woman and a Portsmouth woman following a motor vehicle accident on Lafayette Road. Ashley M. Whalen, 19, of 102 Little Bay Road in Newington was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol and Anna L. Drysdale, 19, of 433 Union St. in Portsmouth was also charged with unlawful possession of alcohol. Both women were issued summonses and released.
