UNH Student Says Man Tried to Take Her Picture in Shower
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning at Randall Hall.
University of New Hampshire Police have issued a safety bulletin after a female student says a man tried to take her picture while she was showering on Wednesday.
Around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, the University of New Hampshire Police Department received a call from a female resident in Randall Hall who reported observing who she believed to be a male subject in a women's bathroom. The man was reported to be standing outside of a shower holding a mobile telephone over the stall in an effort to photograph the female resident as she showered. After the suspect left, the victim observed that a stool had been placed in the shower stall next to the one she was using.
The following description was provided to the UNH Police Department:
- Believed to be a white male
- Black Long Sleeve Shirt/Sweatshirt
- Utilizing an white iPhone with a “Minion” sticker on the rear/camera side of the telephone
UNH Police are reminding dormitory residents to allow the building doors to properly secure upon entry and exit. University police and campus service officers will be increasing their patrols and providing safety escorts for students.
