Unruly M/V Thomas Laighton Passenger Spits at Crew

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Wednesday, July 17.

Wednesday:

  • At 9:31 a.m., police reported a dead animal on Pleasant Street that was removed by the Animal Control Officer.
  • At 10:30 a.m., police took a report from the state Division of Children Youth and Families about a rape - forcible sexual assault involving two victims that happened a few years ago.
  • At 10:36 a.m., police reported the theft of some cash and credit cards by an employee of a Woodbury Avenue business.
  • At 12:44 p.m., police reported a theft on Albany Street after a male patron left an establishment without paying his bill.
  • At 1:55 p.m., police reported a theft of a watch and a pair of earrings from a Woodbury Avenue hotel room.
  • At 4:02 p.m., police reported a bike theft on Lafayette Road.
  • At 9:40 p.m., police reported a fight involving four to five people on Blue Heron Drive.
  • At 9:42 p.m., police reported disorderly conduct aboard the M/V Thomas Laighton on Market Street after a male passenger threatened some customers and then spit in the face of crew members who restrained the male passenger three times. The Isles of Shoals Steamship Co. did not press any charges.
