VIDEO: Caroline Kennedy Tells Dems: Get Out the Vote

Kennedy brings her Granite State Women 2012 tour to Obama for America-NH office in Portsmouth on Saturday.

Caroline Kennedy didn't make a long speech to rally Seacoast area Democrats when she visited the Obama for America-NH office in Portsmouth on Saturday, but just her presence was enough to energize them, especially women voters who support President Barack Obama.

Kennedy basically told them there is much at stake in this election for women voters and all voters in New Hampshire and elsewhere, which is why they need to get as many of the friends and neighbors to vote on Nov. 6 as possible to help President Obama win a second term in the White House. Kennedy's appearance occurred just two hours after Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney held a rally at Portsmouth International Airport where he urged voters to elect him as the country's next president.

That is all the daughter of President John F. Kennedy had to say to Portsmouth area Democrats before they resumed their daily campaign regimen of working the phone bank and canvassing in the community door to door. Seeing Caroline Kennedy also meant a great deal to Seacoast area voters like Mary Lavoie of Dover.

She recalled how she met President Kennedy at Dover City Hall when she was just a teenager when JFK was campaigning for the Oval Office in 1960. She said Caroline Kennedy had the same presence, poise and grace as her father. Kennedy also signed copies of her father's book, "Profiles in Courage," as well as her book, "My Favorite Poems for Children."

Kennedy also took many photographs with Seacoast area voters after she donned an Obama 2012 cap. What follows is Kennedy's address to Obama supporters in Portsmouth three days before the general election.
