What Should Replace Kmart?
Large retail space at Woodbury Avenue plaza could accommodate another Big Box store or several smaller businesses.

Last week Portsmouth Patch reported that Kmart will close its doors in August which will diplace 30 workers, and after that happens the Woodbury Avenue plaza will be left with a huge, available retail space.
"The Kmart store in Portsmouth will close to the public in mid-August. Until then, the store will remain open for customers. The store will begin its liquidation sale on June 2," wrote Howard Riefs, the director of corporate communications for Sears Holdings, in an e-mail last week.
