If one local man has his way, some Windham residents will soon have a garden with which to share their green thumbs.
According to the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune, Windham selectmen recently approved a plan by University of New Hampshire graduate student Jeff Malloy to establish a first-come, first-serve 20-bed community garden at the Crossing Life Church near the Windham Depot. If the garden is popular, the allotted space may serve up to 10 additional plots.
The church has agreed to allow use of a quarter acre of its property for the project.
