Joshua’s Trust Holding Tree Identification Walk

The walk will be on Feb. 18 at 10am. Bring a camera or sketch book to make notes of your new identification skills.

From Framingham State University: Ever wonder what kind of tree you’re looking at, with no leaves for clues? On Saturday, February 18, 2017, Bryan Connolly, Assistant Professor of Biology at Framingham State University and President of the New England Botanical Club, will lead a wintertime tree identification walk at the Allanach-Wolf Woodlands in Windham. The property, located at 165 Back Road, features a large pond and several well-marked trails. Learn how to do some detective work by examining trees’ twigs, buds, and bark! Bring a camera or sketch book to make notes of your new identification skills. Come explore this lovely property and get some fresh air and exercise.

Directions and trail maps can be found at http://joshuastrust.org/allanach-wolf-woodlands.

Heavy rain or snow cancels; please contact bconnolly@framingham.edu in the event of a question as to inclement weather.
