NEW JERSEY, NJ — New Jersey is home to an amazing array of boardwalks, some offering peace and quiet, and others packed with action and excitement.
An award-winning travel guide recently named one Garden State boardwalk as the best in the U.S.
Fodor's created a list of the 12 best boardwalks across all of America that are perfect for a summer stroll, and its No. 1 pick was none other than the internationally famous Atlantic City Boardwalk.

Said to be the world's first and longest boardwalk dating back to 1870, the 5.5-mile long promenade has become a focal entertainment hub, offering great dining and shopping, cultural attractions and much, much more, the travel website said.
