This NJ City Is The Most Ethnically Diverse In U.S.
Jersey City, the state's second-most populous city, is again a diversity champion for the sixth straight year.
NEW JERSEY, NJ — Jersey City retained its No. 1 ranking as the nation's most ethnically diverse city for the sixth consecutive year, according to a report released by financial website WalletHub.
500 of the largest U.S. cities were examined based on ethnicity and race, language and birthplace, and the Garden State's second-most populous city — the seat of Hudson County — is again a diversity champion.
Jersey City ranked third in ethno-racial diversity, second in linguistic diversity and 164th in birthplace diversity, the report said.

Home to Liberty Island National Park, the city is inhabited by more than 292,000 people, 28% of whom identify as Asian, 27% as white, 25% Hispanic and 20% Black, according to 2020 Census data.
Jersey City is joined on the list by eight other New Jersey cities, followed most closely by Clifton at No. 25. Others include: Newark, Paterson, Camden, Elizabeth, Passaic, Union City and Toms River.
