NEW JERSEY — Wawa fans in New Jersey got to savor the chain's Hot Gobbler Hoagies and Bowls early this year — and now they can get paid to talk turkey about the popular Thanksgiving-stuffed sandwiches.

SIXT is a global mobility company offering car rentals, ride services, car shares, commercial vehicle rentals, and more. They're searching New Jersey and the Wawa service area for a "Gas Station Hoagie Hunter" to take a little road trip and judge Hot Turkey Gobblers on several criteria, at three different locations.

For those not "in the know," Wawa's Gobbler is a sandwich with hot turkey and gravy on a roll, that comes with either cranberry sauce and stuffing, or mashed potatoes.

The Hoagie Hunter will also collect data on turkey sandwiches at the top 100 Wawa, QuikTrip, or Weigel’s stations across the country, a spokesperson said.

The role pays $2,500, plus a $500 gift card to Wawa. Applications are open until Dec. 1, and successful applicants will be contacted by Dec. 6.

Here's what SIXT said about the ideal Gobbler fan for this role: "For this official ‘Gas Station Hoagie Hunter’, we are looking for someone who considers themselves a passionate gas station food connoisseur, has a strong opinion when it comes to the perfect balance of cheese to turkey ratios, is well-versed in the world of road trip snacks that go beyond the usual bag of chips, and smiles at the idea of turning a roadside pit stop into a five-star culinary adventure."

The Hoagie Hunter will judge the preparation speed, filling quality, bread quality, and "overall deliciousness" of each gravy-covered Gobbler, and rate their customer service experience. They will also be asked to rate the atmosphere, menu size, value for money, average wait time, and overall amenities at the Wawa where they purchased the sandwich.

Interested applicants are asked to submit their email and a personal statement to sixthoagiehunter@riseatseven.com.
