‘Stranger Things,’ ‘Elvis’ Stars To Film New Movie In NJ
'Stranger Things' star David Harbour is set to begin filming a new movie in the Garden State this fall, according to several reports.

NEW JERSEY - "Stranger Things" star David Harbour is set to begin filming a new movie in the Garden State this fall opposite ‘Elvis’ star Olivia DeJonge, according to multiple reports.
The project, dubbed “The Trashers,” will be a live-action adaptation of The Danbury Trashers, a hockey team with known ties to the Genovese crime family, according to Variety. On tap to direct is Cooper Raiff, who directed the recently released “Cha Cha Real Smooth” on Apple TV+, with 30West slated to produce, the outlet reported.
Harbour is slated to play Jimmy Galante, the Connecticut trash tycoon and Genovese family associate, with Cooper Hoffman (son of Philip Seymour Hoffman) to play his son A.J. Galante, NJ.com reported. The Danbury Trashers, bought in 2004 by the older Galante, quickly gained a repertoire for their violent rough-and-tumble games. But the team's success ended as abruptly as it began with Galante's arrest on dozens of criminal charges in 2006.

AJ Galante, whose life story the film is based on, is set to serve as an associate producer on the film, Deadline added.
The Galante family is no stranger to the silver screen: the family was the subject of the 2021 Netflix documentary “Untold: Crime & Penalties.”
