Summerlike Heat To Scorch NJ

It might feel like summer this week as temperatures climb to 90 degrees in the Garden State.

NEW JERSEY — The gloomy cold of last week will give way to temperatures up to the 90s. The week starts off sunny and "temperatures will warm each day, with above normal temperatures expected by Wednesday and Thursday," National Weather Service forecasters said Monday morning.

Monday will see temperatures in the low-to-mid 70s, still below average for this time of year, forecasters said. Also, skies might be a bit hazy due to Canadian wildfires, but it won't impact air quality.

Dry weather continues through midweek along with progressively warmer temperatures. Tuesday will be near 80 degrees and Wednesday into the mid-80s, according to the forecast.

Friday and Saturday will still be warm, but the dry streak likely will come to an end.
