"Overall, the most pleasant day does look to be Friday which should make for a nice forecast for the 4th of July," National Weather Service forecasters said.
It will be a very comfortable day - which is good news for those hoping to attend parades, car shows or simply enjoy a day at the beach.

"Conditions in much of the Northeast will be far cooler than during last week's heat wave," AccuWeather forecasters said. "In fact, it could be very comfortable, provided high pressure settles slowly over the region rather than slipping off the Atlantic coast. Humidity levels are likely to be lower than July standards, far lower in most areas compared to the swelter of late."
And that nice weather will last through the weekend, forecasters say. Temperatures will get closer to 90 and humidity will increase by Sunday and it will be dry.
Those who will be spending their holiday at the beach are urged to only swim at guarded beaches due to the risk of rip currents. You can see the current rip current forecast here, thanks to the National Weather Service.
