Bicyclist Fatally Struck In Monmouth County Friday Crash: Police

OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - A Friday morning motor vehicle claimed the life of a bicyclist in Monmouth County, authorities said.

At around 8:30 a.m., Ocean Township police responded to the area of Roller Road and Deal Road for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a bicyclist, police said in a statement.

At the scene, officers determined that the victim was riding her bicycle when she was struck by a vehicle in the intersection. The bicyclist’s name or place of residence was not immediately released by police.

She was transported to a local hospital where she later died, police said.
