'Grueling Job:' Asbury Park Firefighting Hero

ASBURY PARK – When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

• Hero's job: Fire/emergency response
• Relationship to nominee: He is my husband
• Reason for recognition: Michael is not only a fireman who has been serving through the pandemic but he is the VP of the LHFD & he handles all hall rentals working at the FD every Monday & Thursday night. He's been tireless refunding rental fees. He never uses his FD status. He is a humble.
• One thing to know: Michael is a simple man but known in his community as a friend who is always willing to help. He's a fireman answering calls at all hours even though he has a grueling job.
