Jersey Shore Rescue Mission To Hold 5K At End Of October
In addition to the 5K, there will be a kids' fun run and a virtual 5K throughout October, all for the Jersey Shore Rescue Mission.
ASBURY PARK, NJ – The Jersey Shore Rescue Mission, a relief and rehabilitation center located in Asbury Park is be hosting it's fourth-annual 5K Race and Family Walk on Saturday, October 30th on the Asbury Park boardwalk.
This year’s event includes a 5K run, a two-mile family walk, and a kids’ fun run. This year’s event also includes a virtual 5K or log miles from home for our Mission-to-Mission Challenge throughout October.
All of the proceeds from the race will support the Jersey Shore Rescue Mission, a 501(c)3 organization that provides free services, including meals, sheltering, a thrift store, and addiction recovery services

“The proceeds from the race go towards the programs at the mission for recovery and to also raise awareness,” Natalie Vermeulen, the Jersey Shore Rescue Mission’s development coordinator, said to Patch.
“We’re also running this race in support to support those who are running the race to recovery.”
