ASBURY PARK – The Langosta Lounge prides itself for its mélange of artists, surfers, musicians, denizens and "lovers of salt air and sandy toes."
But amid the COVID-19, the Langosta Lounge has been there for its customers, too.
One customer who identifies themself as "Bailey" says Langosta and its sister restaurants are "always contributing to the community, putting so much into their staff, customers and nonprofits."

"Not to mention their food and drink menu is ingenious," Bailey said.
Bailey was one of several people who nominated Lagosta for Patch's "Business of the Year" in Asbury Park as many businesses continue to battle through the coronavirus pandemic.

But it was these businesses, the customers say, that also came through for others in need – even as they were struggling themselves.
The lounge says it encapsulates the perfect blend of city and sea, lounge and restaurant, vacation and mid-week escape.
Opened in November of 2008, Langosta Lounge has enjoyed success as one of the Jersey Shore’s most popular year-round destinations, the establishment says.
"Live music, sushi by the sea, and farm-to-table specials are just the beginning of what Langosta Lounge offers patrons," the business says.
But many businesses have had to suffer through restrictions that have limited capacity as well as the live entertainment they provide.
Customer Andrew Robinson, however, said Langosta is a "pivotal member of our community who acts as an example of thinking locally and acting globally."
