Comedy Night To Benefit Liberty Corner Fire Company

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Come out and have a few laughs at Comedy Night while supporting the Liberty Corner Fire Company on Saturday, Dec. 6.

The Liberty Corner Fire Company, an all-volunteer fire and rescue organization in the Liberty Corner section of Bernards Township, will have the return of its biannual comedy night in the ballroom of the firehouse at 95 Church St, Liberty Corner.

This year’s lineup includes a trio of comics — Marion Grodin, Ali Sultan, and Chris Coccia — who play from New York to California, ABC to Comedy Central, star in films and theatre.

Doors and wine/beer bar open at 6 p.m. The show starts at 8 p.m. BYO food and non-alcoholic drinks.

Performances By:

Marion Grodin has made a name for herself as one of the funniest working stand-up comedians today. In New York City, she is a regular at all the top clubs including The Gotham Comedy Club, Stand Up New York,West Side Comedy Club and The Stand. Marion has also been featured in both the Marshall’s Woman’s Comedy Festival and the Toyota Comedy Festival. On television, Marion has been seen on NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Metro Channel’s New Joke City with Robert Klien, Inside Edition, The Charles Grodin Show and ABC’s “The View.” Don’t miss the chance to see this very funny woman in action!

Ali Sultan saw his first stand up comedian when he moved to America from Yemen at the age of 15. He grew the desire to go on stage but first he needed to learn English. Ali became the first Yemeni-EthiopianAmerican to make a stand up television network debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Ali has been on Comedy Central’s Hart of The City with Kevin Hart. He filmed his Half Hour comedy special in Dubai for Comedy Central Arabia. He represented Minnesota and won the Best in The Midwest competition at Gildas LaughFest. His album Happy to Be Here and Funny First can be heard on Spotify, Sirius Xm and has over 1 millions streams on Pandora. His last special from Drybar has over a million views on YouTube.

Chris Coccia’s comedy is the perfect mix of hilarious material and in-the-moment engagement. He flows seamlessly between his act and improvised interaction with the crowd. Over 25 years performing full-time as a stand-up, Chris has honed his ability to engage with a crowd and entertain a variety of audiences. Chris is regular in Las Vegas at The MGM Grand and The Riviera Hotel and The Borgata in Atlantic City. Chris always leaves them laughing. Outside of his headline appearances, you may have seen Chris as the opening act for performers such as: Jon Lovitz, Norm Macdonald, Dennis Miller, Dom Irrera, Chaka Kahn, Roy Clark and Dennis DeYoung. He was the winner of the Purina Pet Comedy Competition and an invited guest performer at the American Comedy Festival. He was also invited to present his talk, “There’s No Cool in Comedy,” for TEDx at Arcadia University. He can be heard on Sirius/XM and is a frequent guest on morning radio shows in his hometown of Philadelphia.
