Scout Renovates Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church’s Worship Stage Earns Eagle Rank
Eagle Scout from Liberty Corner Troop 54, Matthew Sprinkle, a freshman at High Point University, earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Eagle Scout from Liberty Corner Troop 54, Matthew Sprinkle, a freshman at High Point University in North Carolina, has earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in Scouting America, on Aug. 11.
For his Eagle Scout project, Matthew spearheaded a comprehensive renovation of the Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church’s worship stage. He oversaw a team of more than 20 participants and executed a plan that took months to develop.
The project transformed the stage area, and with input from professional interior designers, Matthew optimized its audiovisual landscape to create a more functional and aesthetically pleasing space for the community.

"The most valuable lesson I learned in scouting is to always take full accountability for your team; otherwise, nothing will get done," Matthew said.
He began his scouting journey as a Cub Scout in 2012, earning the Arrow of Light award, before becoming a Scout in 2018.

Outside of scouting, Matthew recently completed a full-time marketing internship and enjoys weightlifting, indoor rock climbing, and cooking.
