2 Cars Stolen In Bloomfield: Fraud Notice, Unlocked Vehicle
BPD: A local car owner got a fraud notification from her bank. When she went to get her card, she saw that her vehicle was gone.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Two cars were stolen in Bloomfield last week, authorities say.
The Bloomfield Police Department released the following details about each incident:
June 23 – “Officers responded to the area of Hazelwood Road on report of a motor vehicle theft. A resident received a fraud notification from her bank at 2:58 a.m. When she went to her vehicle to get her debit card, she noticed the vehicle was missing. The vehicle, a gray 2023 Hyundai Kona, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”

June 25 – “Officers responded to the 300-block of Franklin Street on report of a motor vehicle theft. The complainant provided surveillance footage of a male entering his vehicle and fleeing the area. The vehicle was left unlocked and running. The vehicle, a silver 2023 Bentley Continental GT, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”
