3 Bloomfield Businesses Burglarized On Same Day: Police

Two local businesses in Bloomfield were burglarized. Another saw an attempted burglary, police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Two local businesses in Bloomfield were burglarized and another saw an attempted burglary on the same day last week, police said.

The Bloomfield Police Department released the following details about the incidents, which took place on Feb. 11:

  • “Officers responded to 416 Bloomfield Avenue (Havana’s) on report of a burglary. The owner arrived at his business and noticed the front door was shattered. The owner then accessed the surveillance footage which shows a male break the front door with a rock and take the cash register. This incident is under investigation.”
  • “Officers responded to 419 Bloomfield Avenue (Minia’s) on report of a burglary. The owner arrived at her business and noticed the front door was damaged and $100 was missing from the cash register. This incident is under investigation.”
  • “Officers responded to 129 Franklin Street (Berkeley Liquor and Deli) on report of an attempted burglary. The owner arrived at his business and noticed the front door was damaged. The owner then accessed the surveillance footage which shows a male using a rock in an attempt to gain entry at 4:15 a.m., but was unsuccessful. This incident is under investigation.”
