Sharon Soon is reported to be the third Bloomfield Republican candidate to drop out of the race.  <a href="http://www.northjersey.com/news/221537761_Bloomfield_Republicans_wipe_the_slate_clean.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Soon is giving up her bid for election to the Bloomfield Council and will be replaced on the ballot by </a><a href="http://www.northjersey.com/news/221537761_Bloomfield_Republicans_wipe_the_slate_clean.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Zachary Smith</a>, Bloomfield Life reports.  This makes her the latest change to the local Republican ticket. Former School Board member Maribel Perez <a href="https://bloomfield.patch.com/groups/politics-and-elections/p/maribel-perez-joins-republican-ticket-for-councilatlarge-seat">replaced previous candidate Robert Goworek in July</a> and <a href="https://bloomfield.patch.com/groups/politics-and-elections/p/republicans-forward-new-council-at-large-candidate">Peter Santana stepped in for </a><a href="https://bloomfield.patch.com/groups/politics-and-elections/p/republicans-forward-new-council-at-large-candidate">Carol Humphreys</a> this month due to Humphrey's need to be out of state to care for her ailing father.  Patch reached out to Bloomfield Republican Committee Chair Luis Linares for confirmation and comment but was unable to reach him. Soon also ran and dropped out in 2011, <a href="https://bloomfield.patch.com/groups/politics-and-elections/p/second-ward-candidate-drops-out-of-race">citing </a><a href="https://bloomfield.patch.com/groups/politics-and-elections/p/second-ward-candidate-drops-out-of-race">work and family as her reasons for stepping down</a>

Soon has reportedly dropped out of the race.
