BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police recently announced two arrests involving burglaries to local businesses.

The Bloomfield Police Department released the following details about each arrest:

April 23 – Jose Vega, 37, of Newark, was arrested on outstanding warrants resulting from several burglary investigations which all occurred on Feb. 11 at Minia’s (419 Bloomfield Avenue), Havana Café (416 Bloomfield Avenue) and Berkeley Liquor and Deli 129 Franklin Street.

April 27 – Jesse Castillo, 56, of Bloomfield, was arrested on an outstanding warrant resulting from a burglary investigation which occurred on Nov. 9, 2024 at Blue Leaf Laundry (159 Grove Street).
