Bloomfield Business Burglary Suspects Arrested After Investigation, Police Say
The proceeds of the burglaries were valued at nearly $10,000, authorities said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police have apprehended three suspects in connection with a business burglary that took place in the township last month, authorities announced Thursday.
The Bloomfield Police Department released the following statement about the investigation:
“On May 28, the Bloomfield Police Department responded to a report of a burglary. The responding officer observed the doors of a business unsecured and upon entering noticed the business was rummaged through. After assessing the scene, it was determined that the business next door had been entered by the same individuals by creating a hole in the drywall that connected the businesses.”
The businesses reported that the proceeds of the burglaries were valued at approximately $10,000, authorities said.

Here’s what happened next, police said:
“The Bloomfield Police Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and collected evidence. Bloomfield detectives were able to observe the suspects on surveillance footage and connect vehicles to them. The detective’s investigation led to collaboration with Elizabeth detectives and the three suspects were identified. They have been arrested and charged with burglary, burglary tools, theft, criminal mischief, and conspiracy.”
Police identified the three suspects as Malik Kamara, 28, of Rahway; Almeen Irving, 27; and Engelbel Bonano, 28, of Elizabeth.
