BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Animal Shelter is trying to find a new home for an adorable-but-terrified doggo who lost his family just a few weeks before the holidays.

The shelter shared a post about “Roscoe” on Thursday, noting that their message isn’t intended to put his former family in the spotlight – only to find the pupper a good home or rescue.

“His former family wants nothing but the best outcome for him and would be grateful,” the shelter wrote.

“Roscoe was surrendered to our shelter yesterday because his family moved to a new place that didn’t allow pets. His family was just as sad as Roscoe, and we are hoping to find him a home/foster/rescue immediately because he is terrified in the shelter. He is 4years old, est 70lbs, and can afford to lose some weight and follow a healthy diet. He’s listed as a Jack Russel Mix and is neutered. He’s never lived with other pets, and while hasn’t reacted to the other dogs here, it’s best he moves to a calmer home without pets.”
