Brookdale Park Halloween Dog Costume Contest Winners (PHOTOS)

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Halloween went to the dogs this year in Essex County – again.

Essex County brought back its free “Strutt Your Mutt” Halloween costume contest for local residents and their pets this year, holding three separate events at Brookdale Park (Montclair, Bloomfield), Branch Brook Park (Newark, Belleville), and Grover Cleveland Park (Caldwell, Essex Fells).

“The Essex County Dog Parks have become popular places for dog owners to bring their faithful companions,” Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo Jr. said.

“In turn, the canine costume parades are growing into a favorite Halloween celebration for everyone to enjoy,” he added.

Ipsita Sengupta, Erin Detzi and Arijit Dasgupta from Bloomfield and their pets Archer and Pebbles won first place in the "Best Group Costume Category" at the Brookdale Park contest this year. Check out some of other winners from Brookdale Park in the gallery above.
