BLOOMFIELD, NJ — An investigation into a burglary and attempted vehicle theft at a BMW dealership in Bloomfield continues, authorities said Thursday.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to the dealership at 425 Bloomfield Avenue on Oct. 18.

Security company personnel told officers that a black SUV entered the parking lot, and multiple suspects shattered the service department’s entrance door. The suspects then tried to steal two BMWs on the property. One of the cars was taken, but stalled and was left behind in the driveway.

The burglary is still under investigation, authorities said.
