Dognapper Stole 3 Dogs From Parked Car In Bloomfield: Police
The victim parked their car outside a store in Bloomfield and went inside. That's when the thief struck, authorities said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Someone stole three dogs from a parked car in Bloomfield on Monday, authorities said.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the victim said they parked their car outside Mavis Discount Tire on Bloomfield Avenue at 4:25 p.m. and entered the store. About four minutes later, a black, “newer model” Acura MDX – which may have had temporary tags – entered the parking lot and parked next to the victim’s vehicle.
The thief then got out of the passenger side of the Acura, walked up to the victim’s car and took the dogs out of the rear passenger window, police said.

The Acura was seen leaving the parking lot and heading east on Bloomfield Avenue toward Newark at 4:51 p.m., authorities said.
“At this time, we are attempting to collect more video surveillance,” police said Monday evening. “Any agency who could assist in locating the missing dogs or could provide information is asked to email jromano@bloomfieldnjpd.com or contact our dispatch at 973-680-4141.”
