Essex County Honors Martial Arts Team From Bloomfield

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A martial arts team from Bloomfield has kicked their way to multiple victories at 2023 Taekwondo championships in New Jersey, Connecticut and nationally.

The Essex County Board of County Commissioners recently congratulated the Universal Martial Arts Tournament Team of Bloomfield for their Taekwondo victories.

In 2023, the team won the New Jersey Taekwondo State Championship, the Connecticut Taekwondo State Championship and the USA National Taekwondo Championship.

Universal Martial Arts coach Master Damian Harley and assistant coach Abrielle Pinto were present at last month’s ceremony.
