Father And Son Open Restaurant On Bloomfield, East Orange Border

A new Caribbean restaurant and bar opened its doors on the border of Bloomfield and East Orange: Bacchanal Junction.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A new Caribbean restaurant and bar has opened its doors on the border of Bloomfield and East Orange.

Bacchanal Junction at 558 Arlington Avenue in Bloomfield held a grand opening celebration last weekend, which was attended by mayors and town council members from both townships.

Here’s what customers can expect at the new restaurant, which features a “chic tropical-inspired décor,” according to the father-son duo who are running it:

“The menu reflects a fusion of Caribbean culinary traditions with modern flair, showcasing the diverse influences that have shaped the region's cuisine over centuries. Guests can expect an array of mouthwatering dishes like Shark Bites, Jerk Salmon, and Stewed Kingfish with Creole Sauce. Island-style drinks like the Hibiscus Buccaneer and the Caribbean Kiss Pisco Sour are among the many exotic cocktails guests can anticipate.”

Father-son duo, Parris and Tristan Jordan, are bringing a wealth of hospitality experience and kitchen-know-how to the table at Bacchanal Junction.

Parris, who has a long career in consulting and hotel development, has spearheaded projects totaling over $20 billion in value, including Caribbean destinations such as Atlantis and The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman.

Tristan, his son, also has a culinary journey that has been influenced by Caribbean culture and cuisine. He has a degree in hotel and tourism management from New York University and has logged hands-on experience in asset management.

“At Bacchanal Junction, we're on a mission to celebrate the rich tapestry of Caribbean flavors and culture,” Parris Jordan said.

“From savory jerk chicken to succulent seafood dishes, every bite tells a story of tradition, innovation and passion,” he added.
