Library Board Meets, Schools in Session

Patch's picks for the day in Bloomfield.

The Bloomfield Library Board meets on Wednesday in the Mayor's Conference Room, 2nd floor of the Law Enforcement Building at Bloomfield Town Hall at 5 p.m. Residents are expected to rally outside the meeting in response to a number of issues at the library, including handicap access and alleged deteriorating conditions of library facilities.

Wednesday is the first day of school for Bloomfield students.

Schools and offices will be closed on Thursday for Rosh Hashanah.

The Bloomfield Photography Club is looking for new members. They hold meetings on Wednesday nights at 7 at the Bloomfield Civic Center on 84 Broad Street. 

Bloomfield's United Way is selling raffle tickets for the group's annual 50/50. They are looking to sell 200 tickets at $100 a shot. The drawing will be held halftime at the Bloomfield High School homecoming game on Saturday, Oct. 26. Email info@unitedwaybloomfield.org, call 973-748-1732 or stop by their office at 385 Broad St.
