Nevada Diner In Bloomfield Reopens After Kitchen Fire
The Nevada Diner is back in action. And the Bloomfield restaurant has a special deal on the table as they reopen.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Nevada Diner is back in action, Bloomfield.
Earlier this month, the local diner announced that it is “back in business” after a kitchen fire in February. Two firefighters sustained minor injuries battling the blaze, but no employees or civilians were injured, authorities said.
On March 18, the diner made the following announcement on social media: “We would like to inform our customers that we are back in business. Thank you for your understanding and we are ready and waiting to give you the best service ever!”

The proclamation got a round of applause online. “I’ve been sleeping in the parking lot waiting for this day,” one person commented.
Last weekend, the diner hit another speed bump when it lost phone and internet service, and was reduced to cash-only operations. It was one of several in Bloomfield that reported an outage.

But things have definitely turned the corner for this local restaurant staple, its owners reported Sunday.
“To thank all our loyal customers, for helping us after the small difficulty we had, starting Monday, March 27 and until Friday, April 7, we will be offering a complimentary piece of cheesecake with any dinner special, and a complimentary ice cream for all the kids under the age of 12,” the Nevada Diner posted on social media.
