Kennedy Drive South is closed westbound from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. due to a water main break. Police are directing traffic at the scene, and motorists are urged to use alternate routes while repairs continue. 
• Hundreds of N.J. college students are scrambling for housing after devastating dorm flood (nj.com subscription) — Bloomfield residents may soon see more Montclair State students living or commuting through town, as hundreds displaced by a flooded dorm are being offered temporary housing at Bloomfield College’s campus. The closure of Barton Hall means affected students must either commute or relocate while repairs continue into the spring semester.
• N.J. boys hockey Public Co-op stats leaders for Jan. 7 (nj.com subscription) — Bloomfield is represented in a Nutley-Columbia-Bloomfield co-op team highlighted in statewide boys hockey stat leaderboards through Jan. 6.
