According to Ricci, the area encompasses 13 properties and about 1.83 acres, and is located in the Bloomfield Center Redevelopment Plan-Phase II – Main Street Campus District. Each property satisfies the criteria for the designation, he said.

The planning board voted to recommend the designation of the properties identified in the study, putting the ball back in the court of the town council.
