The Charles Seller Foundation, based in Bloomfield, proudly presents its summer musical, "Matilda," for the benefit of Matteo Campoverde. Matteo is a 9-year-old boy from Bloomfield, New Jersey. He was diagnosed in May of 2024 with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Every year, the foundation selects an individual from our community who is facing medical challenges as our beneficiary for that coming year. The funds raised primarily from the organization’s summer musical go to our beneficiary to help offset medical costs. In 1950, a young man named Charles Seller was struck by a train and lost one of his legs. His family and friends collaborated to put on a variety show titled “Talent Time” to aid in his medical costs. This tradition started in Bloomfield, NJ, and is a 75-year-old running 501(c) nonprofit organization.
