Schools Closed Thursday for Rosh Hashanah

The Bloomfield Library offers the classic British comedy the LADY KILLERS from 12:15 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. at the little theater on Thursday. The romp involves five oddball criminals (including Alec Guinness  and Peter Sellers) planning a bank robbery by renting rooms from an octogenarian widow (Katie Johnson) under the pretext that they are classical musicians.

Schools and offices will be closed on Thursday for Rosh Hashanah.

Bloomfield's United Way is selling raffle tickets for the group's annual 50/50. They are looking to sell 200 tickets at $100 a shot. The drawing will be held halftime at the Bloomfield High School homecoming game on Saturday, Oct. 26. Email info@unitedwaybloomfield.org, call 973-748-1732 or stop by their office at 385 Broad St.
