Smoke Shop In Bloomfield Robbed At Gunpoint: Police

A man entered the store, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the register, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A smoke shop in Bloomfield was recently robbed at gunpoint, authorities announced Friday.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to 29 Bloomfield Avenue (Omar’s Smoke Shop) on Dec. 20 after getting a report about a robbery.

The victim told officers that a man entered the store, brandished a revolver and demanded money from the register. The victim gave the suspect $500 from the cash register, and he fled the store on foot, police said.
