Santana announced his candidacy at the opening of the party's Broad Street office last month. Smith joined the ticket in late August, following reports that candidate Sharon Soon had stepped down.
"We are fortunate to have highly qualified professionals that are prepared to step in and give their all to serve the Citizens of Bloomfield.” Mayoral Candidate Russell Mollica said. “Carol and Sharon are very dear friends and I respect their decisions and greatly appreciate their community involvement in Bloomfield.”
