West Caldwell Police Chief Expected to be Acting Administrator

Michael Bramhall will take over the position effective April 3.

The West Caldwell Council is expected to name Police Chief Michael Bramhall as the acting township administrator at their next meeting on April 2.

A memo obtained by Patch was sent to all West Caldwell Township employees on Wednesday announcing Bramhall would take over the position effective April 3 as a result of the departure of Jock Watkins.

. Watkins's resignation is up for approval at the April 2 meeting.

Bramhall will continue to act as police chief while the council conducts a search for a new administrator.

He has been police chief for three years and has been with the department over 24 years.
