Who's On The Chatham Ballot And Where To Vote
The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 8. Check out our voter guide before you cast your ballot.
CHATHAM, NJ — Election Day is coming up on November 8, and Chatham residents will be going to the polls to vote in a variety of races. Here’s what you need to know about voting in Chatham.

In Chatham Borough, four candidates are running for two open seats this year. Democratic incumbents Irene Treloar and Karen Koronkiewicz will face Republican challengers Bob Weber and Freddie Bicknese for their seats on the governing body in November.

In Chatham Township, voters will be voting to fill two seats on the committee. Mike Choi and Stacey Ewald are running for a three-year term on the Democratic ticket to fill two seats on the committee, they will be opposed by the Republican ticket of Dawn Flynn and Ron Rubino.

This November, none of the three seats up for grabs on the Chathams Board of Education's grades PreK-12 School District will be contested. There is one three-year seat with one candidate running from the borough and two three-year seats with two candidates running from the township.

Three incumbents filed for three, three-year terms: Christopher Delsandro, Susan Ross and Yinglu Zhang.
On the county level, Chatham voters will choose candidates for the Morris County Board of County Commissioners. There are six candidates running for three seats, each for a three-year term: Doug Cabana, Judith Hernandez, Tom Mastrangelo, Thomas "TC" McCourt, Christine Myers and Baramdai "Alicia" Sharma.
Chatham voters will also get to cast a ballot for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. The county is split between the 11th district and the 7th district. In the 11th district, incumbent Mikie Sherrill (Democratic Party) faces a challenge from Paul DeGroot (Republican Party) and Joseph Biasco (Independent).
HOW TO VOTE
Election Day takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 8. There are three ways to turn in your ballot for the 2022 general election in New Jersey.
Vote By Mail – Every active registered voter is eligible to request a vote-by-mail ballot. If you would like to receive your ballot by mail, you must request your ballot not less than seven days before an election. Otherwise, you must get your vote-by-mail ballot in-person from your county clerk by 3 p.m. the day before Election Day. Voters have until 8 p.m. on Election Day to return their ballot to the Board of Elections in person, or deposit it in one of their county’s authorized ballot drop boxes. You can also mail your ballot; it must be postmarked on or before 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Vote In-Person (Early) – New Jersey passed a law in 2021 that allows residents to vote early during a nine-day period before Election Day. For the 2022 general election, the early voting period takes place from Oct. 29 to Nov. 6. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday). In Morris County, early voting locations are in the following municipalities: Boonton Township, Morris Plains, Denville, Whippany, Madison, Morristown, Mount Olive and Mount Arlington (see a full list and addresses here).
Vote In-Person (on Election Day) – The 2022 general election takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 8. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Find your location polling place here.
