Cherry Hill Applies for County Grant to Improve Old Orchard Park

The 2013 grant application could bring in up to $25,000 for improvements to the park.

Cherry Hill will try for as much as $25,000 in county open space funding to help improve Old Orchard Park as part of a grant supported by the township council Wednesday.

The grant would be used to help improve the recreation facilities in the park, which sits in a wooded area behind Sharp School and Beck Middle School off Thornhill Road.

The improvements are part of what council President David Fleisher called an ongoing effort to improve neighborhoods throughout the township.
