Building Fire Shuts Down Part Of Burlington County Highway

SOUTHAMPTON, NJ - A building fire in Southampton closed U.S. Route 206 in both directions between Retreat Road/Main Street and New Road for about eight hours Wednesday, authorities said.

The fire broke out at Mount Holly Motorsports at about 3 a.m. that day, 6abc.com reported.

No injuries were immediately reported from the fire and there is no word on the fire's cause, 6abc.com also said.

The road closure was first reported a little before 5 a.m the same day as the fire, Southampton officials said.

The southbound lanes of U.S. Route 206 reopened about 1 p.m. that same day and the northbound lanes of the highway reopened about 2:30 p.m. that same day, Southampton officials also said.
