COLLINGSWOOD, NJ - Two Collingswood High School students are facing aggravated assault charges as a result of a brawl at the school on Wednesday, authorities said.

The charges stem from a report to Collingswood police at around 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday regarding an unconscious student at the high school requiring medical aid as a result of a fight, police said in a statement.

Following witness interviews and a review of surveillance footage, detectives determined that two Collingswood High School students were punched and pushed down to the ground, with at least one of the victims losing consciousness during the fight, police said.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital for medical attention. A Collingswood School District staff member was also assaulted while attempting to stop the altercation, police said.

As a result of the incident, a 15-year-old student and a 16-year-old student were charged.
