4 Candidates To Run For NJ's 1st District Seat

Incumbent Donald W. Norcross versus Mario DeSantis, Claire Gustafson and Damon M. Galdo.

SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY — Monday was the deadline to file for the upcoming primary election in June. Four candidates have announced their intention to run for U.S. Representative in New Jersey's 1st Congressional District, which encompasses parts of Camden and Gloucester Counties.

Incumbent Donald W. Norcross, as well as Mario DeSantis filed as Democrats. Both listed a post office box in Collingswood on their paperwork.

Claire Gustafson filed as a Republican and listed a post office box as Collingswood on her paperwork. Damon M. Galdo also filed as a Republican and listed a street address in West Deptford on his paperwork.

New Jersey's primary election occurs on June 8. The state's general election occurs on Nov. 2. The winner in November will serve a 2-year term.
