Arrest Made In Raccoon Taproom Stabbing In Collingswood: Officials
The suspect critically injured the victim during the 'unprovoked assault' at the brewery, authorities said.
COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — A man accused of stabbing and critically injuring a patron at a Collingswood microbrewery was arrested on Monday, officials said.
Tahaa Elmogahzy, 27, of Collingswood, was charged Monday with first-degree attempted murder. Elmogahzy stabbed another man Saturday night in an "unprovoked assault" at Raccoon Taproom, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office (CCPO).
The victim is hospitalized in critical but stable condition as of Monday evening.

At about 9:10 p.m. Saturday, a disorderly person at Raccoon Taproom was reported to police. When Collingswood officers reached the venue, they learned that someone stabbed a patron and fled on foot.
The victim was brought to Cooper University Hospital.

Through a joint investigation, the CCPO and Collingswood police identified Elmogahzy as the suspect.
Elmogahzy was also charged with third-degree aggravated assault and weapons offenses.
A Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Elmogahzy on Monday afternoon. He will remain in the Camden County Correctional Facility, pending the outcome of a detention hearing.
Raccoon Taproom called the assault "a tragic and senseless act of violence."
"Our hearts go out to the victim, and we pray for his full recovery," the business wrote on social media.
Mayor James Maley and the borough commissioners said they were "deeply saddened by the violent incident."
"We have been in contact with the owner of Raccoon Taproom and have offered support to employees and patrons who may need assistance or services in the aftermath of this horrific event," the elected officials said in a joint statement. "If you or someone you know requires help, please do not hesitate to reach out."
