Biker Tries to Lose Collingswood Police at 108 MPH on Rte. 130

Anthony DiPasquale, 19, of Collingswood was charged with eluding, speeding and reckless driving.

Putting your bike into the triple digits might let you get past police for a little whileβ€”but, as the saying goes, you can't outrun radio.Β 

One Collingswood man found that out the hard way this summer.

At 8:30 a.m. onΒ July 7, a Collingswood policeΒ officer operating a stationary radar post on Route 130 reportedly clocked a motorcycle screaming downΒ the northbound lane of the highwayΒ at 108 mph.Β

TheΒ officer attempted to pull the vehicle over, butΒ the rider made a few quick turns in an attempt to elude him, police said.Β 

Several miles down the road, however, unitsΒ caught up withΒ 19-year-old Anthony DiPasquale of Collingswood.Β

DiPasquale was charged withΒ third-degree eluding, speeding, reckless driving. He was served with his complaints and released on his own recognizance.
