Collingswood Calendar: Restaurant Week, Winemakers Ball, Fall Festival
The third week of October has a long list of activities in Collingswood. Check 'em out.

Monday, October 14, enjoy Collingswood Harvest Restaurant Week in the borough. Stop into any of ten participating restaurants and enjoy a multi-course meal, ranging in price from $25 to $35, and centered on late-season vegetable flavors (and pumpkin).
Restaurants include:
Tuesday, October 18, it's the sixth annual Winemakers Ball at Villa Barone. The event, which is led by baker Mike DiBartolo, features homemade wine, a buffet, cigars, and live music. Tickets are $40, and can be purchased at the door.
Then, from 7 to 9 p.m., stop by the Collingswood Middle School auditorium for the final round of the Colls Factor talent show. Tickets are $5 and proceeds benefit students.
At 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, visit the Collingswood Public Library for the monthly meeting of GMO-Free NJ, the community group that discusses how to keep genetically modified organisms out of the food supply.
It's also Cruise Night—so a walk downtown will get you a chance to see some of the most happening cars around (weather permitting), from 6 to 9 p.m.
On Friday, October 18, come to the Good Shepherd Regional Catholic School Cafeteria (100 Lees Avenue) at 7 p.m. for a round of Vera Bradley bingo.
A $25 ticket gets you 10 bingo cards, soda, water and dessert. Bring your own food and beverages. Special games (at additional costs) and door prizes are also available.
Friday is also the night to see musical duo Jenny and Me at Grooveground Fridays Live. The local indie-pop duo is composed of Jenny Pilong and Stephen Kocher.
On Saturday, October 19, from 10 a.m. to noon, get a chance to see one of three historic home restoration clinics presented by the Proud Neighbors of Collingswood.
The event takes place at the Knight Park historic caretaker's house, and offers an opportunity "to learn the proper removal of a historic window, how to scrape, repair, and insert metal weather stripping, replace sash cords and retain original historic molding." Call 609-707-3684 for details. Â
Then, join the Collingswood Junior Women's Club at its annual Collingswood Fall Festival from noon to 4 p.m. at the Pavilion in Knight Park. School PTAs will be on hand at the event, which will feature games, crafts, refreshments, live entertainment and a hayride. For information, contact Jodie Farrow (jodie.farrow@yahoo.com).
At 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, join the Our Lady of Lourdes Collingswood auxiliary at the Collingswood Community Center for its annual Think Pink breast cancer awareness event. Tickets are $15. For more information, call Marianne at 856-854-0152.
