Collingswood High School Alum Earns College Field Hockey Honor
Rachel Galante was named NJAC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week.

COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — A Rowan University senior field hockey player who attended Collingswood High School was named New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Athlete of the Week this week, the university announced.
Rachel Galante, of Mount Laurel, was named the NJAC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, Oct. 22.
In a week in which the Profs went 2-0, Galante contributed with five points. She scored one goal and had an assist in a 3-2 win over The College of New Jersey. Galante also contributed with a goal in the 4-1 victory at Montclair State University. She is the team’s scoring leader with 23 goals and seven assists for 53 points.

Goalie Morgan Novak (jr. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Mem.) was chosen the Defensive Player of the Week. Forward Krystyna Hovell (fr. Gibbsboro, NJ/Eastern Reg.) was tabbed the conference’s Field Hockey Rookie of the Week.
Novak totaled 14 saves and only gave up three goals in the two games. She had an 82.4 save percentage and a 1.50 goals against average. In 16 contests, Novak has totaled 55 saves for an 80.9 save percentage. Her goals against average stands at 0.86. Hovell produced two goals and one assist for the week. She had an assist against TCNJ and scored twice at Montclair State. In her rookie season, Hovell has 27 points, 10 goals and seven assists.
