Collingswood Man Shot in Allentown Drive-By on Monday

Eddy Torres, 27, was struck in the arm; a Hatfield man, Joseph DiIorio, was shot in the face. Both are expected to survive.

Two men were injured in a drive-by shooting in Allentown, PA just after midnight on Monday, including 27-year-old Collingswood resident Eddy Torres and 24-year-old Joseph DiIorio of Hatfield, PA.

Police say Torres and DiIorio were parking their car in the 200 block of North 13th Street, a residential district, when a southbound vehicle opened fire on them and sped off in an unknown direction.

Torres was hit in the arm, and DiIorio was shot in the face. DiIorio was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital Center Cedar Crest by first responders to the scene. Police say he is expected to survive.

A short time later, Torres, who fled the scene after the shooting, arrived alone at another Lehigh Valley Hospital location on 17th and Chew Street, said Allentown Police Captain Keith Morris.

Morris said police have no motive in the shooting, no suspects, and no information on the vehicle as yet. The incident remains under investigation through the Allentown police dept.
