Collingswood Police Mourn Loss Of Former Police Sergeant

COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — Collingswood is mourning the loss of former police sergeant Paul F. Halbe. Halbe, 69 of Collingswood, NJ, died on November 5, 2021.

Paul was a retired Sergeant from the Collingswood Police Dept. He had taught at Camden County College, the Camden Police Academy and the Divers Academy. Paul was very active with the J.C.C. of Cherry Hill and served for 40-plus years with the Red Cross. He was an American Red Cross swim instructor and trainer and had managed several swim clubs through the years.

He was predeceased by his mother Marie J. Halbe, Father Francis X. Halbe his Stepmother Joan B. Halbe. Survived by his brothers David (Catherine) Halbe, Charles (Karol) Hennessey, Patrick (Amy) Hennessey, sisters Sharon (Joe) Sprague, Joan (Mike) Haines, Goddaughter Grace Halbe, and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021, at St. Aloysius Church, 37 Haddon Avenue in Oaklyn, NJ. Viewing will be Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
